Istanbul turu

Last weekend we made a tour around in İstanbul with my family. Our tour started from The Ayın Biri Church (which translate to The first day of the month Church) On the first day of each month, religious devotees of all faiths visit the site, where they purchase silver and gold keys that represent their wishes. If a person’s wish comes true, he/she must return the key to the church. We made a wish like everybody and went to Vefa Bozacısı for drink Boza which is the one of beatiful taste of Turkey. This workplace which is establish from Ottoman Empire is famous with Boza, Boza is a traditional Turkish drink and Vefa Bozacısı is the best place for it. The decoration is protected like the first day because Vefa is a very old place, the marble of door sill stay with a hollow from centuries, you can find a glass on the wall which Mustafa Kemal Atatürk drunk Boza in it.

When you drink Boza you can make historical tour. Ofcourse our tour was not end of here, when we went out from Vefa we went to Süleymaniye Mosque, Architect Sinan designed it for Suleiman the magnificent. There is Suleiman's grave in it. İt has amazing architectural work and indicator wealth. Besides Suleiman the magnificent there is a lot of grave in it, the most important one is Hürrem Sultan's, her grave is next to Suleiman's. The view is gorgeous besides amazing architecture. It made a place which is command Istanbul and Boğaz, you can watch the amazing view from it's garden. And I think, this magnificent and amazing prayer hall is enough to show the Ottoman's power and wealth.

After this historical tour we realized that we get hungry and we made a choose a historical Turkish restaurant for lunch. Went to Sur Kebap which placed in Fatih's Woman Bazaar and this restaurant is in the top of 10 restaurant in Istanbul. There is a lot of gorgeous tastes but the most popular one is Büryan Kebap, stuffed aubergines is my favorite. By the way, woman bazaar, hence the name is a bazaar where the women and odalisques sold for rich peoples from Ottoman.A rumor has it that, Hürrem Sultan was sold to Ottoman Palace from here. İsn't that so weird?

I coosed to wear for that day my lovely blue pleated skirt, black tricot and leather jacket.

Geçtiğimiz hafta sonu ailemle birlikte ufak bir İstanbul turuna çıktık. Gezimiz sadece her ayın birinde açık olan ve dünyanın her yerinden dilek dilemek için ziyaretçilerin gittiği ayın biri Klisesiyle başladı.Altın ve gümüşten anahtarların dilekler dilendikten sonra alındığı bir klise ve eğer dilekler gerçek olursa bu anahtarlar Kliseye tekrardan teslim ediliyor. Bizde herkes gibi dileklerimizi dileyip ordan tarihi mekan olan, en lezzetli Türk tatlarını barındıran Vefa Bozacısına gittik. Kuruluşu Osmanlı zamanına dayanan bu tarihi işletme bozasıyla ünlü, Boza geleneksel bir Türk içeceği ve bunu Türkiye de en iyi yapan yer de Vefa bozacısı. Çok eski bir işletme olduğundan dekorasyonunu ilk günkü gibi koruyorlar, kapı eşiğin deki mermer yüzyılların eskitip oyuk yaptığı şekilde duruyor, duvarda da Mustafa Kemal Atatürk'ün boza içtiği bardak. Efsane lezzeti tadarken tarihede yolculuk yapıyor insan. Turumuz bu kadarla kalmadı tabi, Vefa dan çıkıp doğruca Kanuni Sultan Süleymanın yaptırdığı, kendi mezarının da içinde olduğu Süleymaniye Cami'ne gittik. Mimar Sinan'ın yapmış olduğu bu Cami muhteşem bir mimari ve zenginlik göstergesi bence. Sultan Süleyman dışında bir sürü mezar var bahçesinde, en önemlilerinden biri de Hürrem Sultan'ın mezarı, hemen yan türbesinde bulunuyor. Cami'nin akıl almaz mimarisi dışında manzarası da muhteşem. İstanbulu ve boğazı tepeden gören bir yere yapılmış, bahçesinden süper bir manzarayı izliyor insan, bu kadar büyük görkemli bir ibadet yeri Osmanlının gücünü ve zenginliğini göstermeye yetiyor.

Bu kadar tarihi gezintiden sonra acıktığımız fark ettik ve yemek yemek için tabiki yine bir tarihi restorantı tercih ettik. Fatih deki Kadınlar pazarının için de olan İstanbulun en iyi 10 restorant listesinin içinde olan Sur Kebap'a gittik. Büryan kebabı ile meşhur olan bu mekan da tadılacak onlarca şahane lezzet var, kuru patlıcan dolması benim favorimdi. Bu arada Kadınlar pazarı adından da anlaşıldığı gibi Osmanlı döneminde köle ve cariyelerin satıldığı yermiş, bir rivayete göre Hürrem Sultan da bu pazardan Saraya satılmış. Ne kadar garip değil mi?

Bugün için çok sevdiğim mavi pileli eteğimi, siyah trikomu ve deri ceketimi tercih ettim.
